About Me

Hello, friends! I’m Stephen, but my friends call me Steve. I am a product manager by trade, an interior design enthusiast, and a proud advocate for mental health wellness.

I started my career in the tech industry, where I’ve spent the last decade leading teams to craft innovative digital products. While I love my job’s problem-solving and dynamic nature, my passion has always been for design – not the kind you find on a computer screen, but the kind you can touch, feel, and live in.

I believe in the power of well-designed space and its potential to uplift our moods, fuel creativity, and even reduce stress. I’ve experienced it in my own life, and I love helping others discover it, too. That led me to start this blog to share my interior design adventures and offer tips and inspiration for making any space a haven of tranquility and joy.

But why stop at just creating beautiful spaces? As someone who’s faced depression and deals with ADHD, I firmly believe that our environment’s aesthetics can profoundly impact our mental well-being.

So, on this blog, you’ll find interior design inspirations and insights on how to craft spaces that promote mental health. I delve into topics such as color psychology, incorporating nature into the design, and how to create calming, stress-free zones within your home.

My design philosophy combines functionality, simplicity, and style with a healthy dose of mental wellness. I’m drawn to clean lines, warm textures, and colors that evoke positivity. I believe in ‘design with purpose,’ where every item in a room has a function and brings joy.

In my spare time, you’ll find me either learning about woodworking/restoration, enjoying nature hiking up a mountain, or cozying up with a good book in my favorite reading nook (I am an unashamed bookworm). My other hobbies include fitness, pickleball, and skiing.

I invite you to join me on this exciting journey of creating spaces that look good and make us feel good. Together, let’s explore the power of design in shaping our moods and improving our mental health.

Welcome, whether you’re here to seek design inspiration, learn more about the intersection of mental health and interior design, or share in my passion. Let’s make every space a place to thrive.
